One day, a few weeks before the birth of our daughter Fiona, it occurred to us that our beloved dog Jack may not be too pleased with her arrival into our home, and we became very concerned about how he would adjust to his new role as number two. Up until then, he was not a fan of children and the noises they make. So on a whim, we came up with the harebrained idea to repeatedly play Jack recorded sounds of babies crying, while supplementing with treats, in an attempt to prepare him for the big "meeting". Much to our surprise and relief, this preventative maintenance worked like a charm. By the time we brought baby Fiona home from the hospital, Jack didn't even raise his head when she cried. He was completely trained! Either that, or completely deaf...we'll go with trained.

As it turns out, the pre-recorded sounds of infants doing what they do (laughing, squealing, crying) are not readily available to the general public; hence the birth (no pun intended) of Dog Meet Baby. Dog Meet Baby is not only a practical tool for those expecting a new addition to their family, it's also the perfect baby gift for friends who do not want to show up to the shower with yet another baby monitor, or packet of onesies. Go ahead, be different, different is good.
